Emiliano went to the Rocky Mountain School of Expeditionary Learning from middle school all the way through high school. He took his passion for experiential learning to Northern California and Durango, Colorado, where he eventually graduated with a degree in Adventure Education at Fort Lewis College. Having graduated from an Expeditionary Learning School, it is Emiliano’s belief that students must be guided through the learning process through intrinsic motivation and expanding their character values through outdoor activities. After having worked summer literacy programs with DPS during high school and teaching environmental education in California’s Bay Area for the past three summers, Emiliano just wants to settle down and teach at Joe Shoemaker full-time.
