Hello, my name is Kourtney Haller and I am so excited to be able to wake up and come to work everyday here at Joe Shoemaker school. This is truly a beautiful place, full of amazing people.
I have been in ECE classrooms since 1997. I have worked in DPS for the past 10 years. I have my Master’s in Educational Psychology and have my teaching license in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education.
I also have a family of my own, including three children and a real big dog. My two sons both started as students in ECE here at Joe Shoemaker School. One is now in middle school and one is in the 5th grade here. My 3 year old daughter will be here soon too! As a family we love camping, swimming, traveling and visiting our families that are all across the nation. My favorite things are reading books and nature and I have passed this on to my own children both at home and at school.
I am passionate about teaching and being a mom-I get to play and discover alongside children who often teach me more than I have ever imagined. I am a lifelong learner and hope to pass that on to all the children that walk through the doors of my classroom.
