Hello, my name is Kourtney Haller and I am so excited to be able to wake up and come to work everyday here at Joe Shoemaker school. This is truly a beautiful place, full of amazing people.
I have been in ECE classrooms since 1997. I have worked in DPS for the past 10 years. I have my Master’s in Educational Psychology and have my teaching license in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education.
I also have a family of my own. My husband, Jack and I have known each other since 2001 and we were married in Mexico in 2010. We have two energetic children as well as two real big dogs. Our two sons are students here at Joe Shoemaker School and we feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to have our children at such an amazing school. Our family loves camping, swimming, traveling and visiting our families that are all across the nation. My favorite things are reading books and nature and I have passed this on to my own children both at home and at school.
I am passionate about teaching and being a mom-I get to play and discover alongside children who often teach me more than I have ever imagined. I am a lifelong learner and hope to pass that on to all the children that walk through the doors of my classroom.
